Developmental Editing
A comprehensive, big-picture analysis of your manuscript with suggestions for improvement.
Includes:
- Comprehensive edit letter looking at big picture aspects of your manuscript such as plot, structure, pacing, character development, point of view, voice, theme, and emotional resonance. The letter will be focused on strengths and areas for improvement, including specific actionable suggestions, recommended next steps, and resources.
- Comments in your manuscript giving examples related to the edit letter (typically 2-4 comments per page)
- Pre-edit consultation (through email or web meeting)
- Post-edit consultation (via 40 minute web meeting or up to 4 emails)

Manuscript Critique
A big picture analysis of your manuscript.
Less extensive (and less expensive) than a developmental edit.
Includes:
- Comprehensive edit letter looking at big picture aspects of your manuscript such as plot, structure, pacing, character development, point of view, voice, and theme. Letter will be focused on strengths and areas for improvement, recommended next steps, and resources.
- Pre-edit consultation (through email or web meeting)
- Up to 2 post-edit follow-up emails for clarification and questions.
Cost: $0.01/word ($10/1000 words)
Line Editing
Sentence-level suggestions to polish your prose.
Includes:
- Suggestions on sentence-level aspects such as wording, dialogue, sentence structure, style/voice, point-of-view slips, and glaring grammatical errors. These will be provided via sidebar comments and Word’s track changes.
- Up to 4 post-edit follow-up emails for clarification and questions.
Cost: $0.017-.025/word ($17-25/1000 words),
depending on work needed

Mentoring

Mentoring is a monthly service tailored for your specific needs. This can include consultations via web conferencing or email to help you develop your idea into a workable plot structure, providing feedback on a preset number of pages per month, or discussing aspects of craft.

I accept payment via PayPal. For services over $500, a non-refundable $500 deposit is due at booking, and the remainder is due before final edits are delivered. For services $500 and under, payment is due at time of booking.
