Only you can write the story that’s burning inside you. Whether you want to provide readers with a moment of escape or you long for your words to reveal the unseen, your ideas have power. They can unleash hidden worlds, foster empathy, captivate readers, and transform minds.

But sometimes we’re too close to our own work to see how we can round out our characters, deepen our plot, develop our theme, and layer emotion on every page. Being an author myself, I understand the importance of staying true to the story you want to tell. I would love to use my experience as an editor and author to partner with you to take your story to the next level. Together, we can refine your words to captivate readers and immerse them in your world—and maybe rip a seam in the atmosphere.

I offer a variety of editing and mentoring services, as well as critiques on query letters, synopses, and first pages. I have an MFA in creative writing and have taught fiction writing at the university level. I’m happy to work with you on most any fiction genre, but speculative fiction is my passion.
